Conference to focus on research programs
Manila Hotel will host the IPM CRSP 2008 Annual Meeting May 19-22. A field trip to the University of the Philippines at Los Baños, where IPM research is carried out, will be part of the meeting. The theme of the meeting will be scientific results from the program’s six global theme and seven regional programs.

Visas
Nationals from the United States and all IPM CRSP host countries may travel to the Philippines for business and tourism purposes for a stay not longer than 21 days. A visitor visa is issued on arrival. Each traveler must hold a valid ticket for his or her return journey to port of origin or next port of destination, as well as a passport valid for at least six months beyond the contemplated period of stay.
Hotel accommodations
Manila Hotel is the venue for this workshop. The room rate is $90.00 per person/per room/per day.
Ground transportation
Travelers are advised to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. Fare is about 250 to 300 pesos. Manila Hotel can arrange a taxi if requested ahead of time; however, the fare will be little higher than hiring a taxi at the airport.
