During the 2003 Spring
Semester, Phi Beta Delta promoted several international programs
and new initiatives on campus. Details on these events can be
found in the Events section of this site.
A primary effort
was made to support a Virginia Tech student to the annual Phi
Beta Delta conference in March at the Universidad de Las Americas
in Pueblas, Mexico.
In collaboration
with the Department of Architecture Special Programs, Phi Beta
Delta sponsored a photography exhibition. An annual student essay
competition focusing on the topic of international education was
also conducted in Spring 2003.
The Spring 2003
induction ceremony was fittingly held on April 9 in Hillcrest
Hall. Twenty-eight
students, six faculty and four honorary members were inducted
during the ceremony.
