Dhaka University Students in gender training workshop.

The project aims to improve the condition of women in Bangladesh through strengthening institutional capacities for research and analysis on topics of relevance to women's issues in Bangladesh as well as contributing to supporting Dhaka University so it may become more responsive to the needs of those working in sustainable development for women in Bangladesh. There are two US partners - Virginia Tech and UCDavis. Faculty from these two institutions are working to support faculty at Dhaka University to attain these goals through developing courses and carrying out research projects. Geography faculty at UCDavis and Dhaka University are developing a Gender Atlas of Bangladesh.
