Things to Complete Upon Return
Please complete
Program Evaluation Form
to help us serve future students better. Make sure your
academic transcripts from your host institution have been
sent to our office. When they arrive, you will be notified to
come in and look them over before we send them to the
Registrar's Office. If you have some great photos from your
experience, submit them with a personal quote by email to our
office to help up promote education abroad.
Cultural Readjustment
Coming home after
being away for a period of time can be very exciting but
difficult as well. Having seen the United States
from a new perspective, you may see things differently than how
your family and friends do. It may take longer than you had
expected to get back into the swing of things, but hang in
there!

Tips for Coping
Getting the International Experience
Locally

number of international students studying here as well as new
students arriving each semester. To gain additional exposure to
foreign students and culture, consider joining a
Student Organization with
an
International Focus.
Participate in and volunteer for multicultural events
at
Cranwell
International Center,
where you can also access a library of books, maps, and
artifacts from many countries.
Phi
Beta Delta is an active honor society
dedicated to recognizing achievement in international education.
The Lyric Theatre
frequently shows
foreign films and hosts live performances with international
themes.
Ways to Go Abroad Again
You may consider going abroad again
either short-term or permanently. Explore your options for
Study Abroad
and
Work Abroad experiences available through
our office. To go abroad to a single destination for a
few years to pursue a degree, consider Graduate
School Abroad.
The
Peace Corps
is a good option if you are interested in spending
two years serving humanitarian needs internationally. Career
Services also has a library of international work abroad
opportunities in the Career Services building. To learn about starting an
international career, also see our
Work
Abroad page.
